HBO Max “Black Canary” Film Greenlit

Variety has reported that a live-action film based on the DC Comics character Black Canary has been greenlit for HBO Max. The film will be written by Misha Green.  The film will also see the return of Sue Kroll under her production company, Kroll & Co. Entertainment.  Jurnee Smollet is set to reprise her role as Black Canary in the film, however no other cast members have been revealed. The Hollywood Reporter has announced that a new film based on the DC Comics character Catwoman is in the works at DC, Warner Bros. Animation, and Warner Bros. Home Entertainment. The Hollywood Reporter has reported that Angel Manuel Soto will be directing the live-action film adaptation of the Blue Beetle. Warner Archive, the Manufactured on Demand (MOD) division of Warner Bros Home Entertainment, has announced their newest DC Universe Blu-Ray release.
