Recently, the official Ultra series website updated with information regarding the remaining cast of their upcoming series, Ultraman Taiga. Previously we covered the series plot, leading actor, and our Ultras which people can read here. However, currently we have the members of EGIS and the Ultra voice actors. Below is a full translation regarding the cast and character biographies, as well as previous roles.
Kana Sasaki, President of EGIS:
The woman who launched the private organization EGIS, following a previous incident with another police-like organization she worked for on a case related to aliens. She is a reliable president who watches over the young members, while to pretending to be vague about it.
Kana Sasaki is portrayed by Chiharu Niiyama, who tokusatsu fans should recognize for starring in Godzilla, Mothra, King Ghidorah: Giant Monsters All-Out Attack. Also, Chiharu appeared in Tokusou Sentai Dekaranger the Movie: Full Blast Action as Mari Gold/ Deka Gold.
Homare Sōya:
Hiroyuki’s senior in EGIS whose a good-looking man with a carefree big brother attitude. Homare is faithful to the mission, with a strong sense of justice and hotblooded heart. Also, he is a hard working member of the team, often taking on the most dangerous tasks.
Homare Sōya is portrayed by Ryotaro, an actor know for theater performances and occasional movie roles. One of his better known roles to western audiences and anime fans is for being a member of the Prince of Tennis 3rd Season musical cast.
Pirica Asahigawa:
A young and always smiling girl who works at EGIS as one of its operators. Pirica is dedicated to her desk work, and is able multitask between several computers. She also takes on the role of super genius, handling the EGIS’ cyber security, while juggling her interests in fashions and diets.
Pirica Asahigawa is portrayed by Momoka, a girl who started her career as a child actor with an appearance on Engine Sentai Go-Onger. She has appeared in various other television shows, films, and advertisements.
Kirisaki
A man whose history is darken by shadow, but is involved with an incident that Hiroyuki and others are apart of. However, he is also the human form of Ultraman Tregear, whose cruel eyes are full of uncontrollable madness. His final goal is mystery, but is dedicated to inflicting pain onto Ultraman Taiga.
Kirisaki is portrayed by Kō Nanase, who grew up as a fan of Ultraman, having watching Tiga, Dyna and Gaia. He made is actor debut in the drama, “Chia ☆ Dollar” in 2015.
Voice Cast Includes:
- Takuma Terashima as Ultraman Taiga, better known for voicing Apollo/ Apollonius in Genesis of Aquarion, Desil Gallete/Asem Story in Mobile Suit Gundam AGE, and Neo-Geildon/ Neo-Messiah in Kyoryuger vs. Go-Busters.
- Satoshi Hino as Ultraman Titas, better known for voicing Ryo Magami in Mazinkaizer SKL, Sai in Naruto, Space Ninja Demost in Uchu Sentai Kyuranger VS Space Squad.
- Shouta Hayama as Ultraman Fuma, is a newer voice actor in the industry having minor roles in previous series.
- Yūma Uchida returning as Ultraman Tregear, better known for various roles in the Gundam franchise.
- Daisuke Ono as the Narrator, better known as Jotaro Kujo in JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure and Teddy in Kamen Rider Den-O.
Ultraman Taiga is the the 31st entry in the overall series, but the seventh installment in the “New Generations Heroes” line-up. The series is set to broadcast on TV Tokyo on July 6 at 9:00 am JST.
