Ultraman Z “Special Movie” Series Trailer

Recently, Tsuburaya Productions released the series trailer for the upcoming and next installment in the Ultra Series, Ultraman Z. For those unaware, Ultraman Z is the 32nd entry within the Ultra Series, and is the first series post the New Generation Hero saga. Also, the series is part of the Ultraman Zero 10th anniversary celebration, as well as the second series air during the Reiwa Era. Now, like most ‘Special Movie’ trailers, this video is an introduction to the plot, cast/ characters, Ultraman Zett’s transformation items, and Ultraman Zett’s forms. In addition, the trailer teases the return of Riku Asakura/ Ultraman Geed. Furthermore, Tsuburaya Productions included English subtitles for the trailer via YouTube’s closed-caption system for international fans.

Also, Tsuburaya Productions produced another video special, “Ultraman Z Premiere Online Event! All Cast Gather!” The video features the main cast on the STORAGE set answering questions on the show in-and-out of character. In addition, the cast gets to mess around recreating the transformation sequence Haruki performs to become Ultraman Zett. However, this video does not feature English subtitles, but it does have the option for people to submit and upload subtitled scripts.

Ultraman Z features an all-star line-up for its staff which features names like Kiyotaka Taguchi, Koichi Sakamoto, and the recently deceased, Kōta Fukihara. Mr. Fukihara passed away in late May due to a brain hemorrhage, and our condolences go out to his family. Nevertheless, Ultraman Z will premiere on TV Tokyo on June 20, 2020.
