RRPG’s Final Fantasy Retrospective – Finale (The Present & Future)

With Final Fantasy existing for over 35 years, several amazing designers came and left having built this franchise to prosper. Whereas, for those that remain with Square Enix, they continue to help shape the franchise in stronger and newer ways. Yet, for series creator Hironobu Sakaguchi, he was the driving force behind what the franchise has come to stand for. In addition, from his supervision he brought about several versatile innovations to broaden Final Fantasy’s appeal around the world. Although, Sakaguchi no longer works for Square Enix, having departed the company in 2003. As a result, it has made me, RRPG, wonder what has happened to Sakaguchi, and the others that left? Also, I have to question what is going on with those who are still with the company presently?

So, for the finale of RRPG’s Final Fantasy Retrospective, I will look back at everyone involved with the brand. For example, I will delve on what people did since leaving Square Enix, and everyone’s present projects. In addition, I reflect on what many people like myself hope for regarding the franchise’s future. Anyway, thanks everyone that followed and enjoyed this retrospective series, which nearly took me a decade to produce. Nevertheless, with the finale I hope everyone likes how things end, and look forward to my next projects.
