During New York Toy Fair 2019, Mattel has released official images for the Shazam! basic action figures and DC Multiverse action figure releases. McFarlane Toys Acquires “DC Multiverse Collector Figures” License For 2020

This past December 2018, we got word that Mattel would be losing the DC Comics license for the Boys Action category. Additional information, did confirm that Mattel would be retaining the Girls Toy and Preschool toy license, presumably to continue producing DC Super Hero Girls and Imaginext DC Super Friends respectively. Whereas, Spin Master signed a deal for the Boy Action category, but nothing was stated for the collector’s focused action figures. Spin Master Announces 3-Year Toy Deal with Warner Bros./ DC

Yesterday, Spin Master Corp. announced it has entered a three-year licensing agreement with Warner Bros. Consumer Products. Mattel DC Multiverse SDCC 2018 Reveals [Updated]

[UPDATE 7/21/2018] Thanks to a new video by Dan Eardley aka Pixel Dan, who also moderated the DC Multiverse panel, we now have some clearer information for the upcoming waves of figures from Mattel.  Starting with the Aquaman movie wave, the Collect and Connect wave actually contains four figures instead of five. SDCC 2018: Mattel DC Exclusives Revealed

The Hollywood Reporter has revealed a first look at some of Mattel’s exclusives based on the DC Comics brand, which will be released at San Diego Comic Con 2018. First, Mattel will be releasing a special Hot Wheels set based on Superman Action Comics No. 1, which was released in 1938. As a homage to the cover, the set will feature a mini Superman figure holding up the iconic green sedan. DC Essentials Action Figure Line Announced [SDCC 2017]

Ahead of San Diego Comic-Con 2017 preview night, DC Collectibles (via IGN) have revealed a new action figure line known as DC Essentials. This line is described to be an evergreen line that features DC Comics characters primarily in their DC Universe Rebirth costumes. These 6.75 inch tall action figures are similar to the recent DC Icons line by featuring multiple points of articulation and accessories.
