March 2021 Monster Hunter Presentation Streamed

Earlier this morning, Capcom held a digital event for the Monster Hunter franchise, which focused on Monster Hunter Rise and Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin.

First, the team took a look at some details for Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin. The team revealed a new trailer, which took a look at the setting of the game and also revealed the game will feature online co-op quests. The game will launch for the Nintendo Switch and Steam worldwide on July 9, 2021. Those who pre-order the game will also receive a Kamura Maiden Outfit for Ena. Additionally, Players who have save data for Monster Hunter: Rise will receive a Kamura Garb Layered Armor for Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin.

The game will also receive a Deluxe Edition, which includes:

  • Monster Hunter Stories 2
  • Kuan Coat (Outfit for Ena)
  • Razewing Armor Alpha/ Razewing Armor Beta (Layered Armor for the Player)
  • Adventure Buddies 2 and 3 Sticker Sets
  • Spiky Negal (Player Hairstyle)
  • Pukei Pueki Costume, Nergigante Costumes (Navirou Outfits)

Nintendo will also receive new Amiibos, which include:

  • Ena
  • Razewing Ratha
  • Tsukino

Next, the team took a look at Monster Hunter: Rise. The team also released a new trailer for the game, which featured a look at some more monsters that will be featured in the game. In this game a feature known as Switch Skills. Players will be able to use several sets of abilities to help create new combos.

The game will also feature five distinct locales, which include:

  • Shrine Ruins
  • Flooded Forest
  • Frost Islands
  • Sandy Plains
  • Lava Caverns

The team also showcased several monsters that will be featured in the game, which includes:

  • Almudron
  • Rakna-Kadaki
  • Goss Horag
  • Bishaten
  • Somnacanth
  • Tetranadon
  • Aknosom
  • Great Izutchi
  • Magnamalo
  • Nargacuga
  • Zinogre

Continuing on, the team took a look at some of the additional details for that the game. The type is known as “Rampage.” Players will be working together to help fight hordes of monsters. Players will need to fight off the monsters that are trying to attack the stronghold. Players will also be able to use a “like” system, which can be used to help connect to other players more easily. A new demo for the game will also launch on March 11. This version of the demo will include the quests from the previous demo and a new quest demo featuring the Magnamalo. Lastly, the team featured a look at one of the new post launch updates for the game. The first update will launch in April and will feature new monsters such as the Chameleos. Monster Hunter: Rise will be released for the Nintendo Switch on March 26 and Steam in 2022.
