Today, Shout! Factory uploaded to their streaming library Shotaro Ishinomori’s original Kamen Rider series from 1971. However, the series is only available on the streaming service TubiTV and region locked to the United States specifically. Currently, we believe that this upload is ahead of the pending official announcement from Shout! Factory. There have been rumors of the company obtaining the whole franchise for home video distribution in North America for months, but no other information appeared otherwise.
However, having the first series available for streaming might possibly be foreshadowing Shout! Factory’s actual announcement, or this maybe a potential leak. Nevertheless, the entire original Kamen Rider series from 1971, consisting of 98 episodes is available for viewing with English subtitles. We await further official details from Shout! Factory regarding if they have acquired the entire Kamen Rider library, so please stay tuned.
