According to IGN, Capcom has announced that the Mega Man video game franchise will be adapted into a live-action Hollywood movie to help celebrate the 30th anniversary of the franchise.
Currently the film’s tentative title is MEGA MAN and is being produced by 20th Century Fox. Henry Joost and Ariel Schulman will be writing and directing the project. Capcom has stated that that the film will “appeal to a diverse audience, including not only game players but action movie fans as well, with an adaptation that maintains the world of the Mega Man games, while incorporating the grand production and entertainment value that Hollywood movies are known for.”
No other details about the project is confirmed at this time so stay tuned for more details.
