TWK Reviews Episode 75: Was WWE 2K15 Really That Bad?

Hello, Hero Club, TDub here and welcome to my review of WWE 2K15 which is the WWE 2K debut on the Playstation 4/XBox One systems. From the game’s debut to now it is among one of the more maligned titles in the franchise and within this video you will see why but before we get to that let’s talk about CM Punk. You see, this game is the final time we get to play as Mr. Punk until his return to the virtual squared circle in 2023’s AEW Fight Forever…

TWK Reviews Episode 74: The Mania of WWE 2K14

Hello, Hero Club, TDub here and welcome to my latest video, WWE 2K14 also known as the wrestling game which celebrates thirty years of the grandaddy of them all, WrestleMania! For those who aren’t aware of what makes WrestleMania such a special event, it’s basically *THE* WWE event of the year and generally the most watched one as well. It also tends to take place in massive stadiums that can hold fifty thousand plus people and is usually headlined by the biggest matches so long as no backstage politics get…

TWK Reviews Episode 73: Arkham Asylum is Still My Favorite Batman Game

Hello, Hero Club, TDub here once again with another new video game review with this video focusing on the remaster of Batman: Arkham Asylum known simply as Return to Arkham Asylum. Believe it or not, this was not my introduction to the Arkham franchise as that honor goes to Batman: Arkham City but I’ll go into more detail about that once we reach that proverbial bridge. What I will say is that my experience with City was more than enough to put my money down and purchase a copy of…

TWK Reviews Episode 71: WWE ’13 is THE Attitude Era Game

Hello, Hero Club, TDub here and after taking a couple of weeks for a nice winter holiday, as well as one to deal with a mild cold, I have now returned to take a look at the 2012 offering from THQ and Yuke’s known as WWE ’13! The main draw of WWE ’13 is its inclusion of the Attitude Era which lasted from 1997 until 2001 when the World Wrestling Federation purchased its rival company, World Championship Wrestling, and essentially monopolized mainstream wrestling for nearly two entire decades. That last…

TWK Reviews Episode 70: Life is Strange True Colors is the Perfect Adventure Game

Hello, Hero Club, TDub here and welcome to my video on Life is Strange: True Colors which was developed by Deck Nine Games whom took over from Don’t Nod Entertainment. For those of you who have never heard of this series before, Life is Strange is all about playing through an episodic adventure via solving puzzles and sometimes involving some type of super power to do so. There is also a general theme of indie or hipster aesthetics to give Life is Strange its own unique identity. This goes for…

TWK Reviews Episode 69: Celebrating 25 Years of Ocarina of Time

Hello, Hero Club, TDub here and welcome to my video celebrating twenty five years of The Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time which was released on the Nintendo 64 back in 1998. To say Ocarina of Time changed how games were made is an understatement. You can, more or less, see how 3D games were programmed pre and post-Ocarina of Time.   I know that with all of the praise this games receives that also means there is the inevitable backlash as well and while it isn’t perfect, OoT is…

Earlier today, Nintendo updated their official website with the announcement that a live-action adaptation of The Legend of Zelda video game franchise.  This announcement is extra surprising as the previous live-action film adaptation of Super Mario Bros. did not turn out so well. That being said Nintendo has proven their merits with the animated Super Mario Bros film from Illumination so there could be a chance this film will turn out alright. The film is set to be directed by Wes Ball and will be produced by Avi Arad’s Arad Productions Inc alongside…

TWK Reviews Episode 68: Otaku Time With NJPW Tōhkon Road 2

Hello, Hero Club, TDub here and welcome to my latest video, NJPW Tōhkon Road 2: The Next Generation which was developed by Yuke’s (WWE SmackDown/AEW Fight Forever) and published by Hudson (Bomberman/Mario Party) and yes, this is indeed quite the combination to release a game for the Nintendo 64. One of my favorite parts of playing these wrestling games from Japan is that it allows me to see the world of pro wrestling outside of the WWE bubble and I can not help but feel like that’s something every fan…

TWK Reviews Episode 67: EA Enters the Ring with WCW Mayhem

Hello, Hero Club, TDub here, and welcome to my review of Electronic Arts’ debut in the world of professional wrestling video games aka WCW Mayhem. Yes, we’re talking about THAT EA. The one that forced microtransactions into games. The one who many believe to be the most evil video game company in the world although I personally think that Activision-Blizzard have been doing one heck of a job catching up in that department. However, I digress, as not only is this EA’s initial WCW game but also the first without…
