New Gundam Build Fighters OVA Announced

Sunrise has announced the details for an upcoming OVA series intending to be the sequel to both, Gundam Build Fighters and Gundam Build Fighters Try.

The OVA is set 2 years after the events of Build Fighters Try: Island Wars. Team Build Fighters has become a stable team in the pro-league, while Kamiki Sekai doubles an independent Gunpla Fighter. Sekai is a qualifier in the World Championship, and will be competing alongside familiar faces. Among the other competitors, is mysterious new up-and-coming Gunpla Fighter, Tsutomu, who is known for viciously defeating his opponents. Tsutomu’s motivation is attached to his hatred towards, Gunpla legends, Sei Iori, and Mejin Kawaguchi III. He seeks to destroy their reputation, and bring about a new age in Gunpla Fighting. However, Sekai hope to be the one to stop this new rival!

  • North American Champion, Randel Cord – Tsubasa Yonaga (Haru Irei in Mobile Suit Gunpla Builders Beginning G)
  • Lawrence Bowes – Hikaru Midorikawa (Heero Yuy in Mobile Suit Gundam Wing)

The OVA entitled, “Gundam Build Fighters Nice Try,” will be released as a four-part mini-series. The series will be streamed on YouTube, and Daisuke starting with Part I: Heroes Assemble on May 16th. The following episodes/ parts will then be released bi-monthly, with its home-video release coming in Spring on April 1st, 2018.
