Toru Furuya to Attend Anime NYC 2018

The official Anime NYC website has recently updated with an announcement that Tōru Furuya will be attending Anime NYC 2018, marking his first appearance at the convention. Tōru Furuya will be participating at various stage events and signings. Those who aren’t familiar with his work, he has voiced several across many different anime series and various other productions over the last 50 years. Some of his most famous roles include Amuro Ray from Mobile Suit Gundam, Yamcha from Dragon Ball Z, Tuxedo Mask from Sailor Moon, and Pegasus Seiya from Saint Seiya, just to name a few. Dragon Ball FighterZ Nintendo Switch Port Release Date Announced

Bandai Namco Entertainment has announced details for the release date for the Nintendo Switch version of Dragon Ball FighterZ. As revealed during this year’s E3 2018 Nintendo Direct, the game was stated to release sometime in 2018. Dragon Ball FighterZ will be released for the Nintendo Switch on September 28.  Those who pre-order the game will also receive Goku and Vegeta SSGSS, which are the same bonuses for the previous releases of the game, however the Nintendo Switch release will also include an extra pre-order bonus. Premium Bandai updated its website with the next Shinkocchou Seihou in the S.H.Figuarts line; it is none other than the Silver Knight Zero from GARO! Zero is second Makai Armor introduced in the original GARO series, and belongs to Rei Suzumura (portrayed by Ray Fujita). Sega America has updated their official Youtube channel with an official story trailer for Shining Resonance Refrain. For those who are unaware, the game is a remaster of the Japanese exclusive Shining Resonance game that was released for the Playstation 3 in 2014. BOOM! Studios has announced that they will be publishing a special one-shot comic, which will be apart of their Go Go Power Rangers comic series. Live-Action Bleach Film Character Trailers Streamed

Warner Bros. Japan has updated their official Youtube channel with three character trailers for the upcoming live-action film adaptation of the Bleach franchise. For those who are unaware, the film is based on Tite Kubo’s manga of the same name. The trailers feature a look at Ichigo Kurosaki (Sōta Fukushi), Rukia Kuchiki (Hana Sugisaki), and Uryū Ishida (Ryō Yoshizawa).  The first character trailer that features Ichigo Kurosaki also previews the film’s theme song titled, “Mosquito Bite,” which is performed by ALEXANDROS. iO9 has reported that IDW Publishing will be publishing a comic miniseries that features both Star Trek characters and the Transformers. The new crossover miniseries titled, “Star Trek vs. Transformers,” will feature the bridge crew on the U.S.S. Enterprise based on their appearances from Star Trek: The Animated Series, and the Transformers from The Transformers, aka Generation One.  For those who are unfamiliar with the series, Star Trek: The Animated Series was produced by Filmation and premiered in 1973. SDCC 2018: Mattel DC Exclusives Revealed

The Hollywood Reporter has revealed a first look at some of Mattel’s exclusives based on the DC Comics brand, which will be released at San Diego Comic Con 2018. First, Mattel will be releasing a special Hot Wheels set based on Superman Action Comics No. 1, which was released in 1938. As a homage to the cover, the set will feature a mini Superman figure holding up the iconic green sedan.
