New Pokémon Discovered: Introducing Meltan!

The official Pokémon Youtube channel has updated with a video featuring a look at the new Pokémon species, which has recently been appearing within Pokémon Go. For those who are not aware recently Pokémon GO players have been encountering this mysterious Pokémon, however most actually turn into a Ditto once they are captured.  The new Pokémon species is known as Meltan, who is stated to be an ancient Pokémon. Meltan is said to be a Steel type and classified as the Hex Nut Pokémon. Funimation Entertainment Licenses Japanese Live-Action Death Note Films

Yesterday, Funimation Entertainment announced at Anime Weekend Atlanta that it licensed three of the four live-action Japanese Death Note films: Death Note, Death Note: The Last Name, and Death Note: Light Up the NEW World. Funimation will release the films on Blu-ray Disc, DVD, and Digital combo packs on January 22, 2019. The first two films which premiered in Japanese theaters in 2006 will be bundled together. Bandai Namco Acquires Bluefin; Bandai Namco Collectibles is Born

Interesting news has broke online regarding Bluefin Corp, otherwise referred to as Bluefin Tamashii, the Japanese toy distributor. On Wednesday, Bandai Namco Holdings announced that they acquired an 80% controlling stake in Nippon Imports, LLC, the company that owns and operates Bluefin. Now, with this transaction Bandai Namco will establish a new subsidiary, Bandai Namco Collectibles in October that will continue operations under Bluefin. Marvel Female Superhero Project in the Works at ABC

Several news outlets have reported that a new project in the works at ABC based on super-heroines within the Marvel universe. While the exact characters have not been mentioned at this time, Deadline, who first broke the news stated that the series will be focusing on lesser known female superheroes.   The series will be produced by Marvel Television and ABC Studios. Allan Heinberg will be the head writer for the project; DC fans should recognize him as the screenplay writer for the DCEU Wonder Woman film.
