Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate Announced

Capcom has recently released a new announcement trailer for Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate. For those who are unaware, the game is an advanced port of Monster Hunter Xwhich was released for the Nintendo 3DS in Japan on March 18, 2017. International fans will know Monster Hunter X as Monster Hunter Generations, which was released for the Nintendo 3DS on July 15, 2016. The original port was released in Japan for the Nintendo Switch under the name Monster Hunter XX in August 25, 2017.

Capcom initially stated that they would not release the game outside of Japan in favor of Monster Hunter World. Since Monster Hunter World was publicized as a world wide launch it was more cost effective to focus on localization of that game over Monster Hunter XX. However, in a surprising turn of events the company has confirmed the game will be released in both North America and Europe under the name Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate.

Similar to previous titles in the Monster Hunter game series, players will be able to chose between various weapons and be able to master six different styles.  One of the exclusive features in the game will allow players to play as Palicoes. Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate will also allow players to transfer their save files from Monster Hunter Ultimate.

The game will launch for the Nintendo Switch on August 28, 2018.
