In January, the official Monster Hunter YouTube channel uploaded a video on the PC port for Monster Hunter World. The video features producer, Ryozo Tsujimoto, who explains that Monster Hunter World’s PC port was set to release in Fall 2018. However, with the recent trailer uploaded today, it is revealed to be releasing sooner. The PC port of Monster Hunter World is set to release next month on Thursday, August 9th. Those who pre-order the game on steam will receive the Origin Armor Set and Fair Wind Charm in-game items.
Monster Hunter World released worldwide on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on January 26. This installment shipped 5 million copies worldwide (including digital sales) within its first three days, setting a new record in sales for the franchise.
