Nintendo has recently streamed a Nintendo Direct, which featured a look at several of the games that will be released throughout the Holiday season and beyond.
First, the direct featured a look at the second wave of the Splatoon 3 DLC Expansion Pass Side Order, which is set to release in Spring 2024. Next, the direct featured a look at a remake of the Mario vs. Donkey Kong Gameboy Advance game. The remake will feature the usual enhanced graphics as well as a co-op mode, which was not available in the original game. The remake of Mario vs. Donkey Kong will be released on February 16, 2024.
Then the direct featured another look at Prince of Persia – The Lost Crown. Those who preorder the game will also receive a Warrior Within outfit. The game is set to release on January 18, 2024. After that the direct featured a showcase of some upcoming games, which include:
- Horizon Chase 2 – Later today
- Super Crazy Rhythm Castle – November 14, 2023
- SpyxAnya: Operation Memories – 2024
Continuing on, the direct featured another look at the Super Mario RPG remake. By timing your attacks the player can do more damage or hit all enemies at once as well as guarding against attacks. As the player times their attacks it fills up a gauge that will allow the player to activate a Triple Move when it its full. Depending on the team setup the Triple Moves will be different. The game will feature post game rematches against the bosses. Super Mario RPG will be released on November 17, 2023.
Next, the direct revealed a look at Another Code Recollection. The collection will feature remakes of Another Code: Trace Memory (Another Code: Two Memories in Japan) and Another Code: R – A Journey into Lost Memories. Another Code: Trace Memory was originally released for the Nintendo DS in North America, however this will be the first time Another Code: R – A Journey into Lost Memories will be receiving a stateside release. The Another Code Recollection will be released on January 19, 2024.
The direct then took a deeper look at the previously released Princess Peach game. The game will be titled, Princess Peach Showtime, and will feature Princess Peach as she tries to stop the Wicked Grape and the Sour Bunch from taking over the Sparkle theater. Princess Peach will be traveling to different stage sets while transforming into various forms such as Swordfighter Peach, Detective Peach, Patissier Peach, Kung-Fu Peach, and more. Princess Peach Showtime will be released on March 22, 2024.
The direct then featured a look at a new title in the long running SaGa series titled, SaGa Emerald Beyond. The game is set to release sometime in 2024. That was followed by the reveal for a remastered collection of the first three Tomb Raider games which will be released for the Nintendo Switch. Tomb Raider 1-3 Remastered will be released on Feb 14, 2024.
The direct then took another look at Detective Pikachu Returns, which is set to release on October 6, 2023. Following that the direct then featured a highlight of some upcoming games, which include:
- Trombone Champ – later today
- Battle Crush – Next Spring (Close Beta Test October)
- Wartales – Later today
- Contra Operation Galuga – Early Next Year
- Unicorn Overlord – March 8, 2024
- Luigi’s Mansion 2 HD – Summer 2024
The direct continued with a quick look at the Nintendo Museum, which will be apart of the Nintendo Uji Ogura Plant in Japon. The Nintendo Museum will feature “wide variety of products from Nintendo’s history,” and is set to be completed by March 2024. Next the direct revealed some new details of some upcoming Amiibo, which include:
- Zelda and Ganondorf – November 3, 2023
- Noah and Mio- Jan 19, 2024
- Sora – 2024
Moving onwards the direct featured a look at the next new “perk” of the Nintendo Switch Expansion. Similar to the other “99” titles, F-Zero 99 will allow up to 99 players to race to the finish. The game will focus on the style of the original SNES title and will also allow players to use the Super Nintendo Controller that is exclusively available to Nintendo Switch online subscribers. F-Zero 99 will be available later today. Also, the direct featured a look at some more upcoming titles, which include:

- Song of Nunu A League of Legends Story – Nov 1, 2023
- Warioware: Move it – November 3, 2023
- Eiyuden Chronicles: Hundred Heroes – April 23, 2024
- Eastward: Octopia (DLC) – Holiday

- Dave the Diver – October 26, 2023
The direct then took a look at the final wave of the Mario Kart 8 Booster Course Pass. The latest video reveals that Daisy Circuit from Mario Kart Wii will be making a return. The final pass is set to release this Holiday season. The wave will also feature new racers, which include:
- Diddy Kong
- Funky Kong
- Pauline
- Peachette
The direct then revealed a look at a new free upcoming map for Among Us, which is known as “The Fungle.” The map will be available this October. Lastly, the direct revealed a look at a remake of Paper Mario The Thousand Year Old Door, which is set to release sometime in 2024.
