Hascon 2019 Officially Announced

Hasbro has officially announced that Mark Wahlberg will be attending as a guest at Hascon 2017.  For those who are unaware Mark Wahlberg portrayed Cade Yaeger in both Transformers: Age of Extinction and Transformers: The Last Knight. Hascon 2017 will be held at the Rhode Island Convention Center on September 8-10. Aniplex of America to Host Gurren Lagann 10th Anniversary Event at Otakon 2017

Aniplex of America has announced that they will be hosting a 10th Anniversary event for the Gurren Lagann franchise at Otakon 2017 that will be held in Washington D.C.  The panel will feature some of the English dub cast members, which includes Kyle Hebert (Kamina) and Michelle Ruff (Yoko) as well as Tony Oliver.   Aniplex of America also posted an online survey where fans can chose what episode of the series that will be shown at the event.  The results of the survey will be revealed at the event and also via Aniplex of America’s social media. New York Comic Con 2017 to Host Hiro Mashima

Kodansha Comics announced during Anime Expo that Hiro Mashima, creator of Fairy Tail, will be hosted at New York Comic Con 2017.  For those who are unaware, Hiro Mashima, is known for his Fairy Tail manga series, which launched in 2006.  He is also known for creating the Rave Master franchise which is known as Groove Adventure Rave in Japan.  New York Comic Con 2017 will be held at the Javits Center on October 5-8. Noboru Kaneko to Attend Japan World Heroes Convention 2017

The official Japan World Heroes convention website has announced that Noboru Kaneko will be attending this year’s convention.  For those who aren’t aware Noboru played Kakeru Shishi (GaoRed) in Hyakujuu Sentai Gaoranger.  He also played Yoshito Chûjô in Godzilla: Tokyo S.O.S.  The Japan World Heroes convention will be held at the Pasadena Convention Center on August 26-7th. Katsucon Hosts Lupin III: Part IV English Dub Premiere

Katsucon’s 2017 Guidebook updated on Tuesday, revealing the con will host the English Dub premiere for Lupin III: Part IV. The screening is set for Saturday, February 18th from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. EST. The dub features a reunion of the cast from Lupin III: Part II; Tony Oliver is Lupin III, Lex Lang is Ishikawa, Richard Epcar is Jigen, and Michelle Ruff is Fujiko.
