Anime NYC to Host the World Premiere of Mob Psycho 100 Season 2

Today, Anime NYC revealed that this year’s convention will host the world premiere of Mob Psycho 100 II; it is the second season of studio BONES’ adaptation of ONE’s manga, Mob Psycho 100. Funimation and Crunchyroll Exit Co-licensing Partnership

Variety has reported that Funimation will soon be ending their agreement with Crunchyroll after a two year pact. The decision for not renewing the 2016 agreement with Crunchyroll is the decision of Sony Pictures Television, who bought Funimation last year. Also under this deal, Funimation will end their partnership with the VRV service. Funimation Entertainment Licenses Japanese Live-Action Death Note Films

Yesterday, Funimation Entertainment announced at Anime Weekend Atlanta that it licensed three of the four live-action Japanese Death Note films: Death Note, Death Note: The Last Name, and Death Note: Light Up the NEW World. Funimation will release the films on Blu-ray Disc, DVD, and Digital combo packs on January 22, 2019. The first two films which premiered in Japanese theaters in 2006 will be bundled together.
