Lucasfilm has recently announced the Ron Howard will be taking directorial duties for the Han Solo standalone film. Michael K. Williams In Final Talks For Han Solo Film Role

Variety has reported that Michael K. Williams is in final talks to join the cast of the upcoming Han Solo film. The official Star Wars website has updated with the first look at the cast of the upcoming Han Solo standalone film.  Filming for the movie has started at the Pinewood Studios in London.  It has also been confirmed that Phoebe Waller-Bridge and Thandie Newton have joined the cast of the film. Over the weekend, New York Toy Fair 2017 continued with some new toy reveals for the 40th Anniversary for the Star Wars franchise.  Entertainment Weekly posted official images from Hasbro that feature the new toys.
