Gen Urobuchi to Write Godzilla Anime 2017 Film

Earlier today, Gen Urobuchi (Madoka Magica, Kamen Rider Gaim) teased a new project that he be working on via Twitter, which was revealed to be a Godzilla anime film. The Godzilla-anime website was also updated featuring promotional art, and reveals it will be released in 2017.
