Asher Angel to Portray Billy Batson in DC’s ‘Shazam

Variety has reported that Asher Angel will be portraying Billy Batson in DC’s Shazam. For those unaware, Billy Batson is the alter ego of Shazam. By calling out the word “Shazam!”, lightning strikes him changing him into the Earth’s Mightest Mortal. Asher Angel will be playing opposite Zachary Levi who will play Shazam himself It has also been revealed that Mark Strong is currently in talks to playing the role of the film’s antagonist, Dr. Sivana, and Grace Fulton will be portraying one of Billy Batson’s friends.
