Brian Stapf Joins DC Universe “Stargirl” Cast as Wildcat

TV Insider has reported that Brian Stapf will be joining the cast of the DC Universe Supergirl series as Ted Grant aka Wildcat. For those who are not aware, Ted Grant was another founder member of the Justice Society of America. Wildcat first debuted in the comics in Sensation Comics #1, which was released in January 1942. The original Wildcat was created by Bill Finger & Irwin Hasen. Ted Grant previously made an appearance on Arrow played by J.R. Ramirez who was the mentor to Laurel Lance (Katie Cassidy). Lou Ferrigno Jr. Joins DC Universe Stargirl Cast as Hourman

TVline has reported that Lou Ferrigno Jr. will be playing Rex Tyler aka Hourman in the upcoming DC Universe Stargirl series. For those who are not aware, Rex Tyler was one of the founding members of the Justice Society of America. Rex Tyler made his debut appearance in Adventure Comics #48, which was released in March 1940. The original Hourman was created by Ken Fitch and Bernard Baily. Variety has reported that Joel McHale will be joining the cast of the upcoming DC Universe exclusive Stargirl series as Sylvester Pemberton, who is also known as Starman. The character is stated to be depicted as the “Golden Age Starman” and he will have a reoccurring role in the series.   For those who are not aware, Sylvester Pemberton made his debut appearance in Action Comics #40, which was released in September 1941. The official DC Universe website has updated with the announcement that Anjelika Washington will be joining the cast for the upcoming DC Universe exclusive Stargirl series.  For those who are not aware, the series was first announced at San Diego Comic Con 2018. Derek Mears to Portray DC Universe’s Swamp Thing

Several news outlets are reporting that Derek Mears is going to be portraying Swamp Thing in suit for the upcoming live-action series. For those who are not aware, Mears is most famous for starring as Jason Voorhees in the 2009 reboot of Friday the 13th. He has also portrayed the “classic” Predator in the 2010 Predators film and has previously worked in other live-action comic adaptions in the past. Len Wiseman to Direct DC Universe “Swamp Thing” Pilot

Deadline has reported that Len Wiseman will be working double shifts as the executive producer and director for the first episode of the live-action Swamp Thing series.  For those who have not been keeping up to date, the series is going to be a part of the live-action series line-up on the upcoming DC Universe streaming service. From the Geoff Johns panel we’ve learned that Stargirl will have a live-action series on the app. To quote some information from The Hollywood Reporter. “Geoff Johns, who revealed the news during his spotlight panel, will write and exec produce the 13-episode scripted original series via his Mad Ghost Productions banner. Breaking news from the DC front as the character Stargirl will be joining the cast of CW Legends of Tomorrow.  The character will be portray by Sarah Grey, who is known for being in Almost Human, Bates Motel, and I Zombie.  She will also be starring as the character Amanda in the upcoming Power Rangers Reboot. Stargirl will be appearing soon along with Hourman, portrayed by Patrick J.
