The official Kingdom Hearts Youtube channel has updated with a teaser trailer for the upcoming Kingdom Hearts Union χ[Cross] update for the Kingdom Hearts: Unchained χ mobile game. The update will add a “Union Cross” mode, which will allow up to six players to work together in multiplayer quests and will also add new story chapters as well as a new origin story.
Square Enix provided a short synopsis for the update.
With Kingdom Hearts: Union χ, players can create teams of six from their party members or through a matchmaking feature to fight hordes of Heartless enemies and powerful bosses. Players can also take on quests of increasing difficulty as well as unique new missions. To help these teams of friends communicate with each other, the game will now include emotes and text bubbles. Players will encounter both familiar and new faces as the story of the Unions continues to unfold, and the new “Theater Mode” will allow players to relive the drama and rewatch cutscenes.
Square Enix Japan also provided a full announcement trailer on their official Youtube channel.
The update will launch in Japan later this month and it has been confirmed that the free update will also be released in North America in April. Those who are interested can pre-register on the official website. Players who pre-register will also receive bonus in game rewards as well as some smartphone wallpapers.
