The official Teenage Mutant Ninja Mutant Ninja Turtles twitter has updated with the first look at the character designs for the upcoming animated series. For those who are unaware, the next series will be a 2D animated series titled, “Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.” The series will feature some major changes including Raphael being the leader of the turtles and for the first time April O’Neil will depicted as an African American.

Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles is set to premiere on Nickelodeon this September.
