TOHO recently revealed details for the 2019 Pokémon film during their 2019 lineup presentation. The film will be titled, “Mewtwo’s Counterattack Evolution (Mew Two no Gyakushū Evolution) and it is set to premiere on July 12, 2019 in Japan. The film will be the 22nd overall film in the franchise. A trailer for the film was revealed during the Japanese screenings of Pokémon the Movie: The Power of Us (Gekijōban Pocket Monster: Minna no Monogatari).
