DC Comics Secret Six Series in Development

Interesting DC Comics news has surfaced online today, as we have learned that CBS is developing a drama series based on Secret Six. To quote Variety who broke this news earlier this morning: The project, which has received a pilot production commitment at the network, follows six morally ambiguous strangers, each with their own unique specialties and secret pasts. They are brought together by an enigmatic figure who blackmails them into working as a team to expose the corruption of the corporate and political elite. As someone who knows about Secret…

Geoff Johns Exiting Role as DC Entertainment President and Chief Creative Officer

This morning we’ve learned that Geoff Johns is stepping down from his role as DC Entertainment President and Chief Creative Officer. I have to say I’m sadden by this news since he was the only person who was not only helping in the film side of WB but also writing comics as well. So having to maintain that sort of balance had to be hard and a part of me is happy to see him step down but I feel like were going to miss his influence.   In some…

Jake Gyllenhaal in Talks to Play Mysterio For Spider-Man Homecoming Sequel

Happy Monday heroes! We have some news on the Spider-Man: Homecoming sequel front. Reported by Variety, we’ve learned that actor Jake Gyllenhaal is in talks to play Mysterio. For those who don’t know, Mysterio aka Quentin Beck was an inspiring actor but wasn’t the best at it but soon he discovered his talent in special effects. Once he learned that he could make illusions, Quentin decided to become the villain Mysterio.  I have to say that I’m excited for Mysterio to make his on screen debut if this is the…

Black Lightning Casts Chantal Thuy as Grace Choi

What’s going on heroes? Happy Tuesday, we have some casting news I missed yesterday. That being Chantal Thuy has been cast as Grace Choi in the upcoming Black Lightning series. I have to say that I’m happy to see this character come to life on the small screen. Comic book Grace Choi was an Amazon who worked as a Bouncer in the meta-human club. Television series wise, she will be a bartender who becomes the love interest of Anissa Pierce who is played by Nafessa Williams. I have to say I’m happy…

In some movie news, Transformers: The Last Knight is set to be released June 21, 2017. It was originally set to release June 23, 2017 but Paramount has decided to release it on Wednesday instead of Friday. According to Variety, “It remains the studio’s top prospect for 2017” so they’re banking on this movie to be a financial success. I used to be interested in the film franchise but it just didn’t do anything for me. Especially seeing the characters and some of their characterization that just didn’t sit with…

Joss Whedon Nearing Deal For Batgirl Standalone Film

What’s going on Heroes? We have some movie news coming from Variety. They’re reporting that Joss Whedon is nearing a deal with Warner Bros to direct, write, and produce a Batgirl standalone film for the DC Extended Universe.  Outside of that information, there’s not much else to go off of right now.  I would love nothing more than a Batgirl of Burnside standalone film. I mean Batgirl is one of the few characters from DC Comics who’s stories are lighthearted and should be more of an all ages sort of film.…
