Today, Sony Interactive Entertainment launched its new production studio, Playstation Productions, which will adapt its various video games into television productions and feature length films. Asad Qizilbash has appointed to head Playstation Productions, while the chair of Worldwide Studios at SIE, Shawn Layden will oversee productions. Live-Action Masters of the Universe Film Eyeing 2021 Release

Deadline has reported that the upcoming live-action Masters of the Universe film is set to premiere in theaters on March 5, 2021. As reported in 2017 the film was initially slated for a December 18, 2019 release date, however expectantly the film has been delayed. Also reported earlier it was revealed that Noah Centineo would be portraying He-Man in the film, which has since been confirmed. Art Marcum and Matt Holloway will work as the screenplay writers on the project. Adam and Aaron Nee will be directed the film at Sony Pictures. Deathstroke’ Animated Series Announced for CW Seed

Deadline has reported that an animated series based on Deathstroke is currently in the works for CW Seed. New Star Trek Animated Series Greenlit

Earlier this year, it was reported that a new animated series based on the Star Trek franchise was being considered for Nickelodeon. It was also reported that Kevin and Dan Hageman would be working as the head writers on the project. Today Variety has reported that the series has been greenlit.
