Sony Pictures recently released a new trailer for the new Ghostbusters: Afterlife. For those who are unaware, Jason Reitman was hired to write and direct the project in 2019. The film was initially set to release in 2020, however due to world wide events the film was delayed. It has been quite some time since more marketing for the film was revealed outside the few teaser trailers from earlier this year. The latest trailer features a deeper look at the film’s settings and also showcases the new characters. Ghostbusters: Afterlife will premiere in theaters on November 11, 2021.
I do like the setting of this film and it is great to see to see the legacy of the Ghostbusters are continuing with the new characters. It is still sad that they were not able to continue the story with the full original team due to Harold Ramis’ passing, however it will be great to see the surviving members make their return.
