ЯeaL to Perform New Ending Theme for Boruto Anime

The recent issue of the Weekly Shonen Jump magazine has revealed that the band ЯeaL will be performing the new ending theme song for the Boruto: Naruto Next Generations anime series. The ending theme song titled, “Tsuyogari Loser,” will premiere in January. The song will replace the current ending theme song titled, “Polaris,” which is performed by Hitorie. The new ending theme song will be available as a single on February 20 and an “anime size” version of the song will be available early as a digital release on January 7. The official Golden Kamuy anime website has updated with the announcement that Bin Shimada will be joining the anime cast as Lieutenant General Narizō Arisaka. For those who are not aware, the character debuted in Volume 10 Chapter 94 of the manga series. Arisaka debuted in the fourth episode of the second season of the anime series, which recently aired in Japan. Funimation and Crunchyroll Exit Co-licensing Partnership

Variety has reported that Funimation will soon be ending their agreement with Crunchyroll after a two year pact. The decision for not renewing the 2016 agreement with Crunchyroll is the decision of Sony Pictures Television, who bought Funimation last year. Also under this deal, Funimation will end their partnership with the VRV service. Sony is striving to make the company “a global sub[titled] and dub anime brand,” which is confirmed by Gen Fukunaga (Funimation’s president and CEO).  Fukunaga has stated that the deal will “ended amicably this month.” Starting on November 9, FunimationNow subscribers…

Viz Media announced that they will be releasing the Naruto: Boruto Next Generations anime series on home video during the Shonen Jump panel at New York Comic Con 2018. The series will be released on home video in Spring 2019. For those who are not aware, the Naruto: Boruto Next Generations is based on the spin-off manga series that features Naruto’s son, Boruto. The series originally premiered in Japan in April 2017.
