The official Nintendo Youtube channel has updated with the E3 2018 Nintendo Direct reveal trailer for the next installment in the Super Smash Brothers game series.  The latest game is titled, “Super Smash Bros. Ultimate,” and is set to be the biggest game in the series yet. Illumination Entertainment to Produce Super Mario Film

Last November it was revealed that Illumination Entertainment was in talks to produce a film based on the Super Mario franchise.  Today Nintendo announced that they have partnered up with the company and the producers for the film will be Chris Meledandri, founder of Illumination Entertainment, and Shigeru Miyamato.   The film will be distributed worldwide by Universal Pictures and will be co-funding by the company and Nintendo. The Hollywood Reporter has reported that Nintendo and Illumination Entertainment are currently in the works to bring the Super Mario Bros. back to the big screen. The original film that starred the Mario Brothers premiered in theaters in 1993.
