The Hollywood Reporter has reported that Ken Watanabe is joining the cast of the live-action Detective Pikachu film. For those who are unaware, Ken Watanabe, has starred in various films such as The Last Samurai, Ashita no Kioku/Memories of Tomorrow, and as Dr. Serizawa in the recent Godzilla film by Legendary Pictures.  Ken Watanabe will be playing a new character that be featured in the film named Detective Yoshida.  Detective Pikachu will premiere on May 10, 2019. Detective Pikachu Film Premiere Date Announced

Deadline has reported the premiere details for the upcoming Detective Pikachu film. For those who haven’t been following the film, Detective Pikachu is a live-action adaptation of the Pokémon spin-off game of the same name.  As reported earlier, Detective Pikachu will star Ryan Reynolds as the titular character and he will play alongside Justice Smith and Kathyrn Newton.  Detective Pikachu will premiere on May 10, 2019. Yesterday, The Hollywood Repoter reported that Ryan Reynolds is joining the cast of the live-action Detective Pikachu film.  Ryan Reynolds will be portraying the titular detective himself so expect some crazy adventures along the way. Kathryn Newton Cast in Live-Action Detective Pikachu Film

Variety has reported that Kathryn Newton is joining the cast of Legendary’s live-action Detective Pikachu film as the head female lead.  Kathryn will be co-star alongside the main lead male character, which will be portrayed by Justice Smith. As reported earlier the film will be directed by Rob Letterman and the script will be written by Nicole Perlman and Alex Hirsch.  The live-action Detective Pikachu film will be distributed by Universal Pictures outside of Japan while the film will distributed by Toho in Japan. Funimation Announces Shin Godzilla Home Video Release Date

Funimation has recently opened pre-orders for the home video release of Shin Godzilla. The film will be released in a BD/DVD Combo + UV pack at a list price of $34.98  on August 1st.  Funimation currently has the film on preorder for $26.24. The official website for the upcoming Godzilla anime film has updated with some new details about the project. Netflix to Stream Godzilla Anime Worldwide

Netflix has announced that the Godzilla anime film will be streaming globally sometime this year. The film’s cast consists of: Yuuki Kaji Takahiro Sakurai Mamoru Miyano Junichi Suwabe Kana Hanazawa Tomokazu Sugita The Godzilla anime film is directed by Kōbun Shizuno and Hiroyuki Seshita. Screenplay for the film will be written by Gen Urobuchi.
