Ewan McGregor in Talks to Play Black Mask in DC’s “Birds of Prey”

Variety has reported that Ewan McGregor is in talks to portray Black Mask in the upcoming DC Extended Universe film, “Birds of Prey.”    For those are not aware, the film will focus on the Huntress (Mary Elizabeth Windstead), Black Canary (Jurnee Smollett-Bell), and Harley Quinn (Margot Robbie) as they team-up to fight against Black Mask. Variety has reported that Jurnee Smollett-Bell and Mary Elizabeth Windstead will be joining the cast of Birds of Prey. For those who are not aware, the film is a live-action adaptation of the Birds of Prey comic series and will be produced by Margot Robbie. Margot Robbie portrayed Harley Quinn in the 2016 Suicide Squad film and will reprise her role in Birds of Prey. Smollett-Bell will be playing Black Canary, while Windstead will be portraying Huntress. Supergirl Movie in Production at Warner Brothers

Deadline has reported that Warner Brothers is currently producing a new live-action film based on DC Comics’ Supergirl. For those who are unfamiliar with the character, Supergirl is the alter ego of Superman’s cousin, Kara Zor-El. The character made her debut appearance in Action Comics #252, which was released in May 1959.  Not much is known about the project outside of Oren Uziel, who will be working on the film’s script. Collider has reported that Jared Stern is set to write and direct Super Pets, which is an animated series based on the DC characters’ pets.
