At the Tamashii Features event held this past Fall, a variety of new Ultraman related S.H.Figuarts were presented. In this assortment previewed more kaiju appeared like Antlar, Pandon, Gudon, and Twin Tail. Today, Tamashii Nations revealed Twin Tail is the first of characters to receive its official release in the S.H.Figuarts line. For those who are unaware of this kaiju, Twin Tail first appeared in Return of Ultraman; in episodes 5 and 6 of the series, Gudon appears to battle its rival, the monster Gudon. The two are instinctual rivals and pose a great threat to the Earth, as well as force Ultraman Jack to retreat briefly during their first encounter. Now, as a S.H.Figuarts, Twin Tail will feature various points of articulation for its ability to coil and bend, or whip its tails. Below are the official images from Tamashii Nations:
Pre-orders for S.H.Figuarts Twin Tail are expected to open in February. The price of this item is 7560 yen, and its intended release is set for June 2018. Now, with this announcement one can expect Gudon to be the next Ultra-Kaiju S.H.Figuarts to be announced. Hopefully S.H.Figuarts Gudon will confirmed to be a retail release rather than a Premium Bandai exclusive.
