Scooby-Doo! & Batman: The Brave and the Bold DC Animated Film Announced

IGN has posted an official trailer for the next DC animated film, which will feature the Scooby gang meeting Batman and the Justice League based on their appearances from Batman: Brave and the Bold.  The film titled, “Scooby-Doo! & Batman: The Brave and Bold,” will feature familiar faces such as Aquaman, Plastic Man, The Question, and Martian Manhunter.  Some of the villains both teams will face include the Joker, Penguin, Catwoman, Riddler, Poison Ivy, and Harley Quinn. However, Batman’s rogue gallery will not be the only famous villains that be making an appearance in this film.  The baddies of Scooby-Doo will also appear, which include the Ghost Clown, Spack Kook, Gentleman Ghost (not to be confused with the DC villain), and Miner 49er.

The film is directed by Jake Castorena and the teleplay is written by Paul Giacoppo.  The story is written by supervising producer, James Tucker, and will be co-produced by Michael Jelenic.  The executive producers on the project include: Sam Register, Benjamin Melniker, and Michael Uslan.

Long time fans will know that the Scooby Gang previously teamed up with Batman & Robin in the 1972 films, “The Dynamic Scooby-Doo Affair, ” and “The Caped Crusader Caper.”  They also appeared in the Batman: Brave and the Bold episode titled, Bat-Mite Presents: Batman’s Strangest Cases!”

Scooby-Doo! & Batman: The Brave and the Bold will be released on DVD and Digital on January 9, 2018.
