DC Essentials Action Figure Line Announced [SDCC 2017]

Ahead of San Diego Comic-Con 2017 preview night, DC Collectibles (via IGN) have revealed a new action figure line known as DC Essentials. This line is described to be an evergreen line that features DC Comics characters primarily in their DC Universe Rebirth costumes. These 6.75 inch tall action figures are similar to the recent DC Icons line by featuring multiple points of articulation and accessories. Temuera Morrison In Talks To Join Aquaman Cast

Some big news from the DC Comics/Warner Bros front. Veteran actor, Temuera Morrison, is currently in talks to joining the cast of the live action Aquaman film. Currently the cast includes Jason Momoa as the hero lead with support actors/actresses’ Amber Heard (Mera), Willem Dafoe (Dr. Vulko), and Patrick Wilson (Orm).  Nicole Kidman and Yahya Abdull-Mateen II are also in talks to joining the cast as Aquaman’s mother and the popular villain Black Manta respectively. Patrick Wilson Cast as Ocean Master in Aquaman Film

Yesterday, The Hollywood Reporter revealed that Patrick Wilson will be playing Arthur Curry’s brother, Ocean Master/Orm Curry, in the standalone Aquaman film. For those who aren’t familiar with his previous work, Patrick Wilson portrayed Nite Owl in the 2009 live action adaptation of the Watchmen. He will star alongside Jason Momoa (Aquaman) and Amber Heard (Mera).
