Len Wiseman to Direct DC Universe “Swamp Thing” Pilot

Deadline has reported that Len Wiseman will be working double shifts as the executive producer and director for the first episode of the live-action Swamp Thing series. For those who have not been keeping up to date, the series is going to be a part of the live-action series line-up on the upcoming DC Universe streaming service. [UPDATE 7/21/2018] Thanks to a new video by Dan Eardley aka Pixel Dan, who also moderated the DC Multiverse panel, we now have some clearer information for the upcoming waves of figures from Mattel. Starting with the Aquaman movie wave, the Collect and Connect wave actually contains four figures instead of five. Batman Ninja Manga Adaptation Announced

ANN has recently reported that the Batman Ninja film will be receiving a manga adaptation by Masato Hisa. The manga will be published in the July issue of the Monthly Hero magazine in Japan this Friday. For those who are unaware the manga is based on the direct to home video Batman Ninja animated film that was released on May 8. After the initial announcement last year, details have been scarce for the upcoming DC Entertainment streaming service. Today DC finally revealed the first details about the service. Cathy Yan to Direct Harley Quinn Spinoff Film

Several new outlets have reported that Cathy Yan is set to direct the next DC spinoff film, which will focus on Harley Quinn. The film will be based on the Birds of the Prey comic series and Margot Robbie will return to reprise the titular role. LuckyChap Entertainment and Kroll & Co Entertainment will be producing the film alongside Bryan Unkeless’ Clubhouse Pictures.
