HBO Max “Black Canary” Film Greenlit

Variety has reported that a live-action film based on the DC Comics character Black Canary has been greenlit for HBO Max. The film will be written by Misha Green.  The film will also see the return of Sue Kroll under her production company, Kroll & Co. Entertainment.  Jurnee Smollet is set to reprise her role as Black Canary in the film, however no other cast members have been revealed. Deadline has reported about the main cast of the upcoming live-action series adaptation of Avatar: The Last Airbender. For those who are not aware, the series was first announced in 2018, however not many new details have been confirmed about the project since.
