Mobile Suit Gundam UC Bande Dessinée Prequel Manga Released

Recently a new prequel manga for Gundam Unicorn launched in the December issue of the Monthly Gundam Ace magazine.  The manga is titled,  “Mobile Suit Gundam UC Bande Dessinée Episode: 0,” and is written by Kouzo Oomari.  Mobile Suit Gundam UC Bande Dessinée Episode: 0 takes reference from “The Postwar War” (Sengo no Senso) short story that was featured in the 11th volume of the original Mobile Suit Gundam UC novels.   The manga focuses on the Neo Zeon remnants as they steal the Sinanju Stein mobile suit. Kodansha to Publish Mazinger Z Alter Ignition Manga

Kodansha has recently confirmed that they will be publishing the Mazinger Z spin-off one-shot manga, Mazinger Z Alter Ignition.  The single volume will be released on December 20.  Mazinger Z Alter Ignition was written by Yu Kinutani and was originally launched on the Dynamic Planning’s official website on May 19.   A separate manga series titled, “Mazinger Z Interval Peace,” by Takahiro Ozawa, also launched in the Monthly Young Magazine on the same day. The manga showcases an alternate take on the events featured in the original Mazinger Z manga series. Saint Seiya: Next Dimension Manga Continues Next Spring

The recent issue of the Weekly Shōnen Champion magazine has announced that the next chapter for Masami Kurumada’s Saint Seiya: Next Dimension – The Myth of Hades will will return “around next Spring.”  The magazine also announced that another project by Kurumada will be released in the January issue of Champion RED, which will be released on November 19.  Masami Kurumada’s Saint Seiya: Next Dimension – The Myth of Hades manga series serves as a prequel to the original Saint Seiya manga series.  The series features the previous “Holy War” that took place during the 18th Century between Athena and Hades along…

NYCC 2017: Viz Media Licenses 2 Pokémon Sun & Moon Manga

Viz Media has announced at New York Comic Con 2017 that they have licensed two new Pokémon Sun & Moon Manga titles. The first manga series is the Pokémon Sun & Moon (Pocket Monsters Special Sun Moon) manga series by Hidenori Kusaka and Satoshi Yamamoto.  The second title is Pokémon Horizon: Sun & Moon by Tenya Yabuno.  They have also licensed the Pompom Pokémon craft book. The Pokémon Adventures (Pocket Monsters: Special) manga series’ Sun/Moon arc debuted in the CoroCoro Ichiban! magazine on November 21, 2016. Kodansha Comics to Release Complete Rave Master Manga Series Digitally

Kondasha Comics has updated their official Website with an announcement that they will be releasing the entirety of the Rave Master manga series digitally.  As a part of their Fairy Tail conclusion celebration the 35 volume run of the manga will be released on BookWalker, comiXology, Crunchyroll, Google Play, iBooks, Kindle, Kobo, and nook on October 3.  Those who are interested can pre-order their copies via the various digital platforms. Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy Spin-off Manga Series Announced

Recently Kōhei Uchida launched a spin-off manga series on DeNA’s free Manga Box app based on the Guardians of the Galaxy films. The spin-off series titled, “Guardians of the Galaxy: Galaxy Rush,” is the serialized version of Uchida’s winning submission in the “Marvel” Special Prize contest that was held earlier this year by the Weekly Shonen Magazine.  New chapters will be added to the service every Wednesday. Mobile Suit Gundam Walpurgis Manga Announced

It was recently announced in the September issue of the Gundam Ace magazine that a new Gundam manga series titled, “Mobile Suit Gundam Walpurgis,” will be launching in the next issue of the magazine.  The next issue of the magazine will be released on August 26.  The manga will be illustrated by Hiyon Katsuragi and written by Reiji Kaito. Corocoro Announces Splatoon Anime

Corocoro has announced that they will be streaming a net anime based on the Splatoon manga series. The series will be streamed exclusively on the Corocoro Youtube channel on August 12. The manga series is created by Sankichi Hinodeya and is currently running in the Corocoro magazine.  For those who are unaware, Splatoon is a third person shooter video game that debuted on the Wii U in 2015.  The sequel, Splatoon 2 will be released for the Nintendo Switch on July 21.
