Darth Vader #1 (2017) – Origins of Darth Vader's Lightsaber

Marvel has announced that a new Darth Vader comic series is in the works written by Charles Soule and illustrated by Giuseppe Camuncoli. The story will take place right after Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith and will feature the early years of Darth Vader while working for Emperor Palpatine. One of the biggest reveals about the comic is that the first arc of the series will explain how the powerful Sith Lord got his Lightsaber. Turner Gains Exclusive TV Rights To Star Wars Movies

Variety has recently reported that Turner has  recently acquired the exclusive TV rights for all 10 Star Wars films (including the currently unreleased films) and a separate deal with 20th Century Fox for the original 1977 Star Wars film.  Under this deal the first six films will start airing on TNT on Sept. 20.  The films will later be in a marathon on September 24-25.  Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens will premiere on Turner in early 2018 and it will be followed up by Rogue One: A Star Wars Story will premiere in 2019.
