The official DC Youtube channel has updated with a new extended trailer for DC Universe exclusive the Swamp Thing series. The trailer features a deeper look at the setting of the series and it is clear that James Wan was a pretty great choice as the main producer on this project. John Cena in Talks to Join “The Suicide Squad”

Variety has reported that John Cena is in talks to join the cast of “The Suicide Squad.” In addition it has been confirmed that Margot Robbie and Jai Courtney will be returning to portray Harley Quinn and Captain Boomerang, respectively. Earlier this month it was also reported that Idris Elba will no longer be playing Deadshot, instead he will be playing another character that has not been confirmed at this time. The Hollywood Reporter has reported that the production of the upcoming DC Universe exclusive “Swamp Thing” series has been halted. Originally 13 episodes were being produced for the first season of the series, however it has been revealed that the first season will be cut short to 10 episodes. Henry Gayden Returning to Write ‘Shazam’ Sequel

The Wrap has reported that Henry Gayden will be returning to write the screenplay for the sequel for DC’s Shazam. It has also been reported that David F. Sandberg and Peter Safran will also be returning for the sequel. Ernie Hudson to Guest Star on CW Arrow

Yesterday, Deadline reported that Ernie Hudson will be guest starring on Arrow as a “Four Star General of the DIA (Defense Intelligence Agency).” According  to the character description provided by Deadline, he will be playing someone in Diggle’s past who will need to work with Team Arrow in hindsight of Diggle’s unresolved conflicts with him. Collider has recently revealed new details about the team that will be featured in The Suicide Squad sequel. For those who are not aware, it was reported earlier that Idris Elba will be portraying Floyd Lawton aka Deadshot in the upcoming sequel. The other confirmed team members so far include: Ratcatcher, aka Otis Flannegan, is a man in the DC comics, though Collider has learned that the character will be gender-swapped and played by a woman in The Suicide Squad. Idris Elba to Portray Deadshot in ‘Suicide Squad’ Sequel

Variety has reported that Idris Elba will be replacing Will Smith as Floyd Lawton aka Deadshot in the upcoming “Suicide Squad” sequel. According to Variety, Will Smith left the project due to scheduling conflicts. The production of the film is set to start this September.  As reported earlier it was revealed that James Gun will be writing the sequel to the 2016 Suicide Squad film.   No other details are confirmed at this time so stay tuned for updates.   This is pretty interesting to hear since it would have been pretty easy to retire Deadshot for the upcoming sequel.…

McFarlane Toys Acquires “DC Multiverse Collector Figures” License For 2020

This past December 2018, we got word that Mattel would be losing the DC Comics license for the Boys Action category. Additional information, did confirm that Mattel would be retaining the Girls Toy and Preschool toy license, presumably to continue producing DC Super Hero Girls and Imaginext DC Super Friends respectively.
