Bandai Announces Mobile Suit Gundam: Senjō no Kizuna II Arcade Game

Bandai Namco recently announced during the Japan Amusement Expo (JAEPO) in Chiba that the company is developing a sequel to their arcade game, Mobile Suit Gundam: Senjō no Kizuna (Bonds of the Battlefield). For those unaware, the first game has been seen as an amazing success in Japan since its launch in November 2006. Gameplay involves players stepping into a P.O.D. (Panoramic Optical Display), where they get to control Mobile Suits from the One Year War of the Universal Century. In addition, the game allows players to battle among each other across Japan. The game would go onto to be ported to the Playstation Portable (PSP) in March 2009; however, the game was Japan exclusive. Also, Mobile Suit Gundam: Senjō no Kizuna served as the basis for the Star Wars Battle Pod arcade game that launched in 2014. Now, after fourteen years and four updates later, the series will continue with Mobile Suit Gundam: Senjō no Kizuna II. Below is the official trailer for the arcade game, as well as the English summary it features:
