It has been reported that Sony Pictures and Toei Animation are collaborating on a live-action adaptation of the Saint Seiya anime franchise. Variety has reported that a live-action film based on the DC Comics character Black Canary has been greenlit for HBO Max. The film will be written by Misha Green.  The film will also see the return of Sue Kroll under her production company, Kroll & Co. Entertainment.  Jurnee Smollet is set to reprise her role as Black Canary in the film, however no other cast members have been revealed.
